History

According to the Midvale Historical Society, the local Midvale Kiwanis (kee-wah-nis) club sponsored the first Harvest Days in 1938. Kiwanis, supported by other civic organizations and the cooperation of surrounding towns, initiated the event with a parade, queen contest, car raffle and concluded with fireworks.

Years and years later the Midvale Harvest Days celebration is an event enjoyed by hundreds of residents from the City and surrounding communities. Although the event has expanded to include a variety of entertainers and activities, it’s still a time for fellowship and fun!
